The term “dim sum” comes from the Chinese dialect Cantonese, and translates to “touching heart” - order what your heart desires. Welcome to one of the best Asian restaurants Oslo can offer to ordering the dim sum your heart desires!
Dinner offers a variety of dim sum - different small dishes served as a lighter chinese meal called yum cha, meaning “drinking tea”
Dim sum is normally accompanied with tea, and the Chinese usually have the meal as brunch or lunch. Normal dim sum dishes contains different combinations of sweet and sour, vegetables, seafood and fruit, often served in small baskets, steamed or fried.
WOK ⇧
Wok is a type of thin, curved pan where your, in high temperature, prepare vegetables, noodles or meat.
The curved pan and the wok-technique where the ingredients are cut into small pieces came to China from Central-Asia during the Tang Dynasty. A common explanation to the wokking-technique is that it is energyeffective, because the preparation is quick. This is good for areas where there were a shortage of wood.
